I believe that every writer deserves to feel like a writer—no gatekeeping, no secret handshake, no need for a published book or a regimented writing routine (though if you’re keeping one, you’re one step ahead of me).
Writing can be lonely. Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve hit a wall in the middle of something that once felt electric, it’s easy to feel like you’re shouting into a void. That’s why I started this space—to help make that void feel a little less echoey for myself and anyone that cares to join me. I’m here to share everything I’ve learned (and am still learning) about writing—processes, pitfalls, breakthroughs, and the small, stubborn joys of getting words on a page.
I don’t believe there’s one “right” way to write. I’ve tried the morning pages, the index cards, the color-coded outlines, the “just write and see what happens” approach… and spoiler: I still mix and match depending on the day. What works for me might not work for you, and that’s okay. Part of the magic is figuring out your own rhythm—and giving yourself the grace to change it as you grow.
Before diving full-time into writing, I was an educator—teaching in both public and private sectors, and even spending time abroad in Scotland. It was there in Edinburgh, during my first personal writing retreat (which mostly involved covering an entire room in post-it notes and indulging in room service sticky toffee pudding), that I realized how much I needed writing in my life. Those stories I couldn’t ignore? They’re still with me, and more a lining up behind them.
This is a space for anyone who’s ever whispered, “I think I might be a writer,” and felt afraid to say it any louder.
Say it here.
Say it proudly.
You belong.
